We raised more than $7000 for Bluegrass Ambassadors at our Benefit!
THANK YOU!!!
Our sincerest gratitude goes out to everyone that made Friday's benefit and show such a massive success. 175 people came out to the Heartland Cafe and helped us raise more than $7000. We just can't believe it. Check out the recap of the evening below and know that you've helped us in ways we didn't think possible.
DINNER + BLUEGRASS AMBASSADORS PRESENTATION
The night began outside the Heartland Cafe with a dinner that felt warm and familial. We got to hang out with the "Backstage Pass" ticket holders and catch folks up on what the band's been up, all while drinking beer that was donated by Lagunitas! (Did you know they donate beverages to non-profits that are doing fundraisers? You do now.)
Afterwards we walked over to the old Red Line Tap and gave a presentation that took folks with us on our trip to Kenya. We were able to share some videos that we've never posted before and talk about some of the things that inspired Bluegrass Ambassadors in the first place.
During the workshop we showed some videos from the day we spent in Dandora, Kenya. It was a powerful experience and hard to put into words. Luckily we have some video from a collaboration we did with some hip hop artists inside a school. Check it out below.
THE SHOW
The performance part of the evening was simply amazing thanks to all of our musical guests! Please be sure to check out and support all the artists that got on stage with us and donated their time and talent to the evening. Once again, we're honestly blown away by the support and can't thank everyone enough. We'll keep you all updated as to where what schools we'll be visiting and all the other great stuff we have planned for 2018 and 2019 with Bluegrass Ambassadors!
